Testing Cozmo Robot

Today a friend of ours (Thomas Harbers) got the Anki Cozmo and allowed us to play with – Uh… Testing Cozmo robot 😉 before it goes as a present to his kids. We have tested it with pleasure. Here are a few impressions.

Comes with Code Lab to create the perfect platform for new programmers; platform 1 cozmo robot; 1 USB charging cable; 3 Power Cubes.
Testing Cozmo Robot: Cozmo starts the day just like us. Slowly he opens his eyes and waits until he is connected to the smartphone.
Once this is done, he can perform simple tasks.
Like transporting his cubes.
Or stacking his cubes fully automated.
Besides the Cubes, which he recognizes via computer vision,
the face recognition also works very accurately.

After installing the SDK, you can connect directly to Cozmo using your home network. So it is possible to use Cozmo with more complex tasks.

All in all Cozmo from the manufacturer Digital Dream Labs is an entertaining contemporary and a nice gadget to learn how to program robots. If it may be a bit more demanding, we recommend his big brother Vector. In contrast to Cozmo, he survive without a smartphone and has a few more sensors to offer.
