]]> For various 360-Degree-VR jobs we need the use of drones. In cooperation with Michael Radeck and Kevin Müller we have tested a KanDao Obsidian R with an LeViteZer 360 Pro Gimbal. Let’s call this VR Video Drone Test.

Our improvised connection of the entire technology under our “Big Octa” drone.
Now we also have enough power under the hood.
The weight must always be kept in mind, as our payload on the drone is relatively limited. With 6.8 kg we are still in the green zone.
With the entire periphery we bring a total weight of 8 kg on the scale. It is exciting!
For our project, the drone must be recalibrated according to the requirements. For this purpose we use DJI Assistant 2.
Just transfer the data and we are ready to go!
For the documentation we use a Panasonic Lumix GH5.
All Systems Ready!
First test without our payload.
Since we couldn’t make sure that the pulling forces during take-off would not tear our drone to pieces, we decided to attach our payload to a rope after take-off.
It’s flying!
Test successfully finished!

All in all it was a successful test. Even though the neighbors felt a little annoyed for a short time about the noise caused, an agreement was reached and we were able to complete our test successfully. After a good preparation and adjustment of the individual components, it is easy for us to create 360 degree content with the drone. This also means that in the coming weeks we will realize the same tests under a helicopter. Already today we can say that we will unfortunately not provide the content due to data protection guidelines.
