Intergeo Conference Berlin – Today we went to the Intergeo Conference Berlin. After we have recently realized some larger projects in which Geospatial Data plays a major role, it was important for us to be present at this industry event. We were able to gather some great impressions and made some interesting contacts. In addition to this we’ve seen a lot of new products when it’s about Unmanned aerial vehicles. Above all, it was interesting to find out that we will also be able to tackle greater distances in the future.
The INTERGEO – Trade Fair and Conference for Geodesy, Geoinformation and Land Management (in short INTERGEO) takes place annually at different exhibition locations in Germany. It is the most important international trade fair and conference for geodesists, geoinformaticians, cartographers, authorities and companies in this field of activity.
History:
The DVW – Society for Geodesy, Geoinformation and Land Management organizes this event. Since 1995 it has been held under the protected brand name INTERGEO, until 1994 the name Deutscher Geodätentag was in common use. The prehistory begins in 1872 with the 1st general meeting of the German Geometer Association. The Intergeo East is an offshoot especially for Eastern Europe, which exists since 2004. The Intergeo EURASIA took place once in 2014.
Comparable, but not so big fairs are the Kartographer’s Day or the INTERGEO EAST or the INTERGEO EURASIA, which however lag far behind in their international importance and size.

All in all it was an excellent team event where we learned a lot. Above all, it was also interesting to be at a trade fair with team colleagues. So you can see a lot more at a relatively low cost.
We will certainly repeat this in the future.
