Augsburg University of Applied Sciences is a German university located in Augsburg. Founded in 1971, but its institutional roots as an art academy go back to 1670. With more than 6,000 students the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences is one of the largest institutions of its kind in Bavaria.

Special thanks to Julian Leupold, who organized the 360 VR Drone Workshop University of Applied Sciences Augsburg with and for us.

It was an interesting experience to hold this workshop with the students of the University of Applied Sciences Augsburg. After the young ladies and gentlemen were all from the subject, the workshop got down to business relatively quickly. For this reason, we were able to immerse ourselves in technical details and the first tests relatively quickly. We particularly enjoyed the Q & A with the professors and students. As you will notice, especially the questions from Prof. Dr. Michael Kipp. In conclusion – This showed us that there is a lot of interest in the topics. Above all very sobering and motivating, to find out, that the future of the media is partly in the hands of such motivated young people.

Julian is an Art Director Motion at Jung von Matt with a strong background in interaction design, innovative conception, interactive storytelling, motion design and film. Focused on the interface between interaction design and linear media.

All in all it was a successful test. Even though the neighbors felt a little annoyed for a short time about the noise caused, an agreement was reached and we were able to complete our test successfully. After a good preparation and adjustment of the individual components, it is easy for us to create 360 degree content with the drone. This also means that in the coming weeks we will realize the same tests under a helicopter. Already today we can say that we will unfortunately not provide the content due to data protection guidelines.

As a Bavarian company, it is a particular pleasure for us to realize projects in Bavaria. Starting with the magnificent mountains, the beautiful rivers and the wonderful lakes. This time we have realized this for ourselves free of charge. Not quite true. One drone (the DJI Mavic Pro) fell by the wayside. Nevertheless it was an action-packed tour with lots of fun and joy.

But you should still keep a certain distance. Or …

The Bavarian Sunrise Tour was a successful change. We thank our team member Michael Radeck for this idea and for his commitment. We learned a lot about drone technologies, weather and safety precautions when working with drones.

HSE24 stands for Home Shopping Europe GmbH, a home shopping and e-commerce company that presents and sells its products on television and other channels.

HSE24 broadcasts a 24-hour program and sells its products to customers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. 16 hours of the program are produced live in the studios of three stations in Ismaning near Munich. Approximately 925 of its own employees and 2,400 more at partner companies in the areas of call centers for order acceptance and logistics are responsible for operation. According to the company’s own information, it sends out an average of 37,000 parcels daily and also handles an average of 44,000 calls daily.

The HSE24 team was really nice. After we finished the conventional filming, we took off with a DJI Phantom. So the pretty model and the umbrella filmed from above.

The project was successfully completed and the hero of the day at the HSE24 Product Presentation was the watering can.

We would like to thank the great cameraman and the fabulous team of HSE24 and look forward to further cooperation.

Unfortunately we had a breakdown halfway through our journey. The engine started wobbling and the performance of the car was extremely affected.

But of course we did not let our good mood be taken away from us. After all, the weather was good and we had lots of great technology with us.

The Diagnostic and maintenance on Power poles went flawlessly except for our journey. We had the opportunity to explore the beautiful landscape of Bavaria and at the same time to realize a fabulous project.

There are a few great drone manufacturers on the market today, but there is only one that is absolutely dominating the market, DJI. Their latest drones are some of the best we’ve seen. In terms of high-end cameras that take to the sky, DJI is leading the pack. We chose the DJI Mavic Pro because we are convinced that it is perfectly suited to our everyday needs. In addition, it is extremely fast ready for use, handy and extremely easy to fly. But above all it produces some superb aerial shots. Our First Drone Flight was a complete success. And we are looking forward to the projects in which we can use the drone.

In the coming days and weeks you will certainly have the opportunity to view the content and projects we are creating with the drone.
