All in all, this project was a complete success. Firstly we took the opportunity to personally experience TIMEHOUSE from all perspectives. In other words, we were often on site, talking to the management and staff to get an idea of TIMEHOUSE’s identity. To sum up, we were convinced that TIMEHOUSE’s terrific team is simply fabulous. As a result, we were very much involved in the interior design and the possibilities on site. For instance, we were very impressed by the attention to detail in the selection of home accessories. In addition we liked the economical and sustainable use of the cosmetic articles. Special attention was paid to the charging stations for electric vehicles.
In conclusion, the implementation phase was relatively quick. In the following some impressions in the Making-Of.

Just like airplanes, copters should also carry position lights and collision warning lights during a Drone flight at night. Or in other words this is what you need for a Drone flight at night with the right light:

Red light that shines unobstructed from just ahead to the left over an angle of 110 degrees up and down;

Green light that shines unobstructed from directly ahead to the right over an angle of 110 degrees up and down;

White light that shines unobstructed from just behind to the left and to the right. Over an angle of 70 degrees up and down.

The position lamps may be either continuous or flashing and shall have a prescribed intensity.
The red and green light must be at least 5 candelas and the white tail light at least 3 candelas. The legal requirements for position and collision warning lights can be found at the DSF “German Air Traffic Control“.

Speaking Unicorns in Tech has given us the opportunity to get feedback from people from a wide range of industries and fields. So we met many new friends and were able to see further perspectives. Furthermore, it was interesting to get feedback from people outside the industry. On the basis of this feedback we are optimizing our HR (Human Resources) to become even more accessible to the general public.

360° video technology is impressive. It lacks the ability to move physically in the virtual world. Photogrammetry gives us the possibility to visualize real places in 3D. For instance to visualize an office or to digitalize a warehouse. In other words, you can create an image of reality.

What is Photogrammetry?
Photogrammetry is a group of measuring and evaluation methods. Remote sensing to determine the spatial position or 3d shape of an object from photographs and precise measurement images.

COEZBAY GMBH – KanDao Obsidian 360 Camera – HandsOn

Cagatay Oezbay, https://www.coezbay.com founder of COEZBAY GMBH and consultant in the areas of Virtual-Reality and Real-Time Applications, will demonstrate the latest camera for stereoscopic 360-degree shots.

A standard 360 video is just a flat equirectangular video. Displayed on a sphere you can look around inside. Think of it like the face of a world map on a globe, but with VR your head is on the inside of the globe looking at the inner surface. As you move, the head tracking on your device moves with you, giving you that feeling like you are inside the scene.

However Stereoscopic 3D can add another level of immersion by adding depth data between the foreground and background. Your favorite 3D blockbuster movies usually shot with 2 lenses side by side. This way, each eye gets a different angle of view when watching. Like any production, this can look strange if poorly implemented, or absolutely amazing if done right.

With stereoscopic 3D in VR, that depth information has to be overlaid and mapped to sphere. Because of parallax between cameras, this can be challenging. Any minor flaws or “stitch seams” in the footage are magnified in 3D, and sometimes anomalies occur in different places per eye – which makes it uncomfortable to watch. Therefore Cagatay Oezbay will and can show you different HowTo’s to avoid the most common issues.

At this point it should also be mentioned that we were very impressed with the interior design of the BurdaStudios. The choice of murals was extremely creative and we also liked the impressive wooden wall right in the entrance area.

The physical well-being was also taken care of. Therefore both great sandwiches and drinks for every taste. As it is for Bavaria, good beer is also a must. Even though we personally abstained from drinking alcohol and unfortunately arrived with a full stomach.

All in all it was an extremely successful event. We especially liked the networking component. We were able to meet many old friends from the industry and got to know many new faces. Of course we are looking forward to the next event.

As a Bavarian company, it is a particular pleasure for us to realize projects in Bavaria. Starting with the magnificent mountains, the beautiful rivers and the wonderful lakes. This time we have realized this for ourselves free of charge. Not quite true. One drone (the DJI Mavic Pro) fell by the wayside. Nevertheless it was an action-packed tour with lots of fun and joy.

But you should still keep a certain distance. Or …

The Bavarian Sunrise Tour was a successful change. We thank our team member Michael Radeck for this idea and for his commitment. We learned a lot about drone technologies, weather and safety precautions when working with drones.

All in all, it is a very good all in one semi professional camera with which you can create stereoscopic 360 degree images relatively quickly. We didn’t really like the in-house stitching software because of the very poor response time. At this point we can recommend working with Mistika VR. At least we have had relatively positive experiences with it.

Our goal was to introduce the audience to the technologies we use. Starting with 360 degree camera technologies, through Virtual Reality, to drones and 360 degree editing software. On the side, we immersed ourselves a bit in real-time software, which involved the common game engines like Unity and Unreal Engine.

Our presentations were very well received by the audience. There were also some big names in the industry who bombarded us with questions. Which was very good. Because this way you can evaluate if and how much interest there is from the audience and you can improve your skills and expand your own knowledge.

It was our first official cooperation with Kameraverleih Licht und Ton KLT GmbH and we were thrilled. We especially liked the available equipment at KLT. No matter what the requirements were, there was a solution for everything. If there was no solution, a suitable solution was made. What does not fit, is made to fit. This is the way it has to be.

We are looking forward to further cooperation and send our best regards.

Two fully glazed high-capacity cabins transport up to 580 passengers per hour to the peak, banishing queues to history. Along the journey, they traverse the world’s highest steelwork pylon for aerial tramways at 127 metres, the world’s greatest overall height difference of 1,945 metres over one section as well as the world’s longest unsupported span, measuring 3,213 metres. Three incredible records – without even mentioning the magnificent panoramic views offered by the spacious cabins with floor-to-ceiling glazing. Thanks to heated windows, unobstructed visibility can also be enjoyed in bad weather. Views extend even as far as Munich on clear days.

All in all, an action-packed project in which we also fulfilled personal wishes. It is fabulous when you can approach projects in this way. At this point we would also like to thank the service staff of the peak or cable car. Without them all this would not have been possible.

HSE24 stands for Home Shopping Europe GmbH, a home shopping and e-commerce company that presents and sells its products on television and other channels.

HSE24 broadcasts a 24-hour program and sells its products to customers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. 16 hours of the program are produced live in the studios of three stations in Ismaning near Munich. Approximately 925 of its own employees and 2,400 more at partner companies in the areas of call centers for order acceptance and logistics are responsible for operation. According to the company’s own information, it sends out an average of 37,000 parcels daily and also handles an average of 44,000 calls daily.

The HSE24 team was really nice. After we finished the conventional filming, we took off with a DJI Phantom. So the pretty model and the umbrella filmed from above.

The project was successfully completed and the hero of the day at the HSE24 Product Presentation was the watering can.

We would like to thank the great cameraman and the fabulous team of HSE24 and look forward to further cooperation.
